Energy Efficiency
We measure where and how much your plant consumes, then bring the bill down with power factor correction and drive applications.
Measure, see, reduce
- Measurement report
- Improvement list
- Investment and payback table
Efficiency work begins with measurement: analysers on the main incomer and critical feeders reveal load profile, power factor and harmonic level. Where there is a risk of reactive penalties we size a correction panel; where distortion is high we recommend detuned reactors. Loads suitable for drives are identified, payback is calculated and investment is prioritised.

Does this apply to you?
If even one of these sounds familiar, it is worth a conversation. In the survey we first measure the current state together.
- The bill shows a reactive power penalty.
- Capacitors in the correction panel fail frequently.
- Nobody knows how much each feeder in the plant consumes.
- The number of drives has grown but harmonic levels have never been measured.
How we run this kind of project
- 01
Measurement and data collection
Analysers are installed on the incomer and critical feeders, recording load profile, power factor and harmonic levels over a defined period.
- 02
Analysis and diagnosis
Penalty risk, insufficient correction and harmonic distortion are assessed separately. The root of most capacitor failures becomes visible at this stage.
- 03
Sizing the correction
The required number of steps and their power are determined; where distortion is high, a detuned solution is recommended.
- 04
Identifying drive opportunities
Variable-flow loads are listed, the estimated gain and payback are calculated, and investment is prioritised.
- 05
Implementation and verification
Improvements are implemented and measurement is repeated under the same conditions. The gain is documented with a before/after comparison.
We measure what changed when the project ends
- Reactive penalty
- Correctly sized power factor correction can remove the penalty line entirely.
- Capacitor life
- Detuned reactors reduce harmonic-related failures.
- Visibility
- Consumption per feeder becomes measurable, so investment decisions rest on data.
Frequently asked about Energy Efficiency
How long does measurement take, and does it stop production?
Connecting the analyser may need a brief interruption, and in some cases clamp-on measurement avoids it entirely. For a meaningful load profile, measurement usually runs for several days to cover a full production cycle.
I have a correction panel but still get penalised — why?
The most common causes are failed steps, welded contactors, an incorrectly set controller, and capacitors losing capacitance because of harmonics. Only measurement separates which one applies.
